Bullying, Cyberbullying, Social ControlAbstract
This study examines cyberbullying as a contemporary form of social deviance, focusing on the role of social control mechanisms in reducing this phenomenon. It adopted the descriptive-analytical approach as a theoretical library-based study based on relevant scientific literature.
The findings showed that cyberbullying reflects the weakness of traditional social control mechanisms. Although digital monitoring tools help detect and report cyberbullying, they require stronger institutional support. The study also highlighted the importance of promoting digital awareness among young people and recommended developing laws and regulations that balance the safe use of technology with the protection of personal freedom.
